Frequently Asked Questions

The New Labour Code 2025 (effective November 21, 2025) mandates that basic salary must constitute at least 50% of your CTC (Cost to Company). Previously, many companies kept basic at 40% or lower. With higher basic pay, your PF contributions (12% of basic) and gratuity liability increase. This results in slightly lower monthly take-home but higher long-term savings and retirement benefits.
