1. Who we are

FincalFY (“FincalFY”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is the consumer-facing financial calculator website published by Nisman Digital Lab (nismandigital.com) . The Site is fincalfy.com. We provide free, educational financial calculators and related content. We are not a bank, broker, investment adviser, tax adviser, insurance agent, or regulated financial institution, and we do not provide personalised financial advice.

We publish FincalFY under the operating name Nisman Digital Lab; formal company registration under this name may not yet be complete.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the Site. It is intended for visitors in India, the United States, the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area (including Germany and France), Brazil, and other regions. If local laws give you additional rights, those rights apply to the extent required by law.

2. Quick summary (non-binding)

  • Our calculators are designed to run primarily in your web browser. We do not operate a logged-in “portfolio” product on the Site and we do not intend to store the numbers you type into calculators on our servers as part of providing the calculator experience.
  • Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies, including for Google Analytics (GA4) and, where enabled, Google AdSense advertising.
  • If you are in the EEA/UK, you may have GDPR-related rights (see Section 9). You can contact us at contact@nismandigital.com.

The full policy below is legally binding and may contain more detail.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Calculator inputs and browser processing

When you use our calculators, the inputs you enter (for example loan amount, interest rate, tenure, tax assumptions) are processed in your device/browser to display results. We do not intentionally collect, store, or retain those calculator inputs on our servers as a database of your personal financial information for the purpose of operating the calculators.

However, routine internet communications may still generate technical data on our infrastructure or service providers (for example server logs) as described below. Also, if you choose to email us, submit a form, or otherwise send us information, we will process what you provide.

3.2 Automatically collected technical data

When you access the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect or receive:

  • IP address and approximate location derived from IP
  • Device and browser type, operating system, language settings
  • Referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps, and diagnostic events
  • Cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar identifiers (see Section 5)

3.3 Information you provide voluntarily

If you contact us (for example by email or through a contact method we publish), we process:

  • Your contact details (such as email address)
  • The content of your message and any attachments you choose to send

4. How we use information

Depending on the context, we use information to:

  • Provide, operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site and calculators
  • Measure audience usage and performance (GA4)
  • Show and measure advertising, where enabled (Google AdSense)
  • Detect, investigate, and help prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Respond to your inquiries and provide support
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, analytics, and (where applicable) advertising. Cookies are small text files stored on your device.

5.1 Types of cookies

  • Strictly necessary: required for core Site operation (for example security, load balancing, basic preferences).
  • Analytics (GA4): helps us understand traffic patterns and improve the Site. GA4 may set cookies and collect events such as page views and interactions in aggregated form.
  • Advertising (Google AdSense): may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve ads, limit how often you see an ad, measure ad performance, and (depending on your settings) personalise ads. AdSense partners may also use cookies as described in Google’s policies.

5.2 Your choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings (including blocking or deleting cookies). If you block certain cookies, parts of the Site may not function properly. For Google ads personalisation controls, see Google’s Ads Settings and cookie documentation.

6. Third-party services

We use services that may process data on our behalf or as independent controllers, including:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) for usage analytics
  • Google AdSense for advertising, where enabled
  • Hosting, content delivery, security, and website operations providers (for example infrastructure and deployment platforms)

These providers may process technical data and cookie identifiers in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review Google’s Privacy Policy and Google’s information on how Google uses information from sites or apps that use their services.

7. Legal bases (EEA/UK visitors)

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Consent for non-essential cookies and similar technologies (such as analytics and advertising cookies), where required
  • Legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Site, understanding aggregated usage, and preventing abuse (balanced against your rights)
  • Contract where processing is necessary to respond to your requests
  • Legal obligation where we must comply with applicable law

8. Sharing and international transfers

We may share information with service providers who assist our operations (hosting, analytics, advertising, security). We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

If you access the Site from outside the country where our service providers process data, your information may be transferred internationally. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) or rely on other permitted transfer mechanisms.

9. Your privacy rights (including GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data. If you are in the EEA or the UK, GDPR/UK GDPR may provide rights including:

  • Access to your personal data
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) in certain cases
  • Restriction of processing in certain cases
  • Data portability, where applicable
  • Objection to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

To exercise rights, contact us at contact@nismandigital.com. We may need to verify your request as permitted by law. You may also contact your local supervisory authority; EU users can find a list of EU data protection authorities through official EU resources.

Brazil (LGPD): if applicable laws grant you rights as a data subject in Brazil, you may contact us at the same email address to exercise those rights where required.

United States: certain US states provide privacy rights (for example access, deletion, and opt-out of certain “sales”/“sharing” as defined by local law). Where applicable, you may contact us at the email above. We do not “sell” personal information for money in the traditional sense; however, certain advertising cookies may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under some state laws depending on implementation—review your state law and use available opt-out tools where applicable.

10. Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. Analytics and log retention periods may vary based on provider settings and operational needs.

11. Security

We take reasonable measures designed to protect information, but no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

12. Children

The Site is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy, to the extent permitted by law.
